On the edit page screen, I used the “classic mode” (as opposed to VC backend mode) to insert images into the main editor which I consolidated into a Tagdiv Slide Gallery. Then I switched back to “backend mode” which automatically places the slide gallery into a VC row. Adding other VC elements into the page seems to break the formatting of the slide gallery. Is this to be expected?

Please note that visual composer is not tested on posts so it can provide errors and problems as it is not the intended way of using it with our theme.

Do you have any suggestions about how to go about inserting an image gallery on a PAGE with it not picking up unwanted styling? Right now we put it in a text box but the image gets skewed looking like it’s trying to pick up the column settings etc.
We first set our row, selected the column configuration, and then placed the gallery into the text box in the column where we wanted it but it doesn’t look right.
If we’re missing something, please advise.

The tagdiv gallery was never intended to be used on pages. It works but it lacks the css needed. Unfortunately there is no simple solution to it as the css needs adjusting on pages.
The alternative solution to this is using an image carousel or image gallery from visual composer:

Thanks Bogdan. Do any of these 3 slide/rotator/gallery/carousel options work everywhere? I’m trying to use the same tool on posts and pages so that they’re all styled and operate the same.

Sorry but regarding galleries the tagdiv slider gallery was created for posts while the visual composer galleries were not tested on posts and vice-versa.
The tagdiv gallery will not work on pages but the visual composer ones even though not tested, seem to work ok on posts as well if you activate visual composer on posts: https://www.screencast.com/t/1Jhdo3jp

For your info since you’re not with Visual Composer – I can’t find a way to show the image titles in either the Image Gallery or Image Carousel. Do you offer support for this since you supply the plugin with your theme? Maybe I need to add custom css? It really shouldn’t be this hard or complicated.
