I have followed the instructions and watched the video tutorial to build my custom homepage. Every time I select a template with the visual composer, the visual composer throbber spins indefinitely and I wait for ages with no progress. I cannot get past this stage. Am I doing something wrong?

This may be directly related to the problem you are having. Try and make the changes like recommended, and then check to see if everything is working as intended.

Really, this is becoming increasingly frustrating. I have created a php.ini file and edited the .htaccess file according to your instructions and my host’s documentation. I still cannot get this to work!!!! Can you offer me any advice? Is there something else I should be doing?

Try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and then try again. If this does not fix the issue try deactivating and deleting the editor then reinstall it from the theme package.
After trying these suggestions with no favorable result, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can take a look. Maybe we can spot why this happens, preventing you from using the Visual composer editor.

Hi,
I have finally resolved this problem. I had to remove and reinstall the plugin to get it to work. I may try this as a first option next time a plugin gives me problems, but perhaps I should have known this – Occam’s razor!
