Custom sidebar with disappearing widgets

Hello,

we’ve got another problem with the Newsletter theme: widgets “disappearing” (in the back-end view) from the custom sidebars

– when a new custom sidebar is added (e.g. in a template of a category), and then filled with widgets, it shows correctly on the front-end, howver when the admin panel (View >> Widgets) is reloaded, all the widgets added previously to this new custom sidebar disappear – i.e. you can’t see them in the back-end but (sic!) they’re still visible in the front-end…

Please tell us how to repair it.

Hello adamtri,

The sidebars will remain at your frontend but the widgets will be inactive. You will find them at the Widgets section in an inactive mode. You should simply re-add them at the widgets. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3KJJYW8p2uAf
Please check your sidebars in the widgets area and see if there are elements present inside them. WordPress will strip the sidebars of elements if special characters or language specific characters are used in the sidebars. When you create your sidebar, please only use standard letters without symbols such as !@#$%^&*()_}{L{“:>< Let us know how it goes.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!
