Block layout and image thumbnail size

I have all the thumbnail proportions active in the theme settings and have regenerated all thumbnails as suggested but I am still a bit confused about why certain block/column configuration are producing unexpected results. (Thumbnail does not fill column) In the current row I have a 1/4+1/2+1/4 column arrangement—are only certain Block templates compatible?

Hello davidagent,

Please notice that layout (1/4+1/2+1/4) is not tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if you are using it you will bring best results. That was indeed the issue.
