I reinstalled wordpress and the newspaper theme, but no luck. Not sure if was an update, but my main menu disappear, I cannot longer add menus, the once I create a new one, it doesn’t show me the that its actually created, I found I cannot create categories either. every time I create one category it doest show either. something very interesting, when I try to create a category with the same name I tried before, it adds a “-2” to the name of the category, so it mightbe saving the category but doesn’t show.
Any clue?

Please keep in mind that the first step in WordPress debugging is to disable all the untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. You should disable all of them and make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and check the results.
