In the demo it has four images that represent four different post as the first thing you see on the page. How do you have that show? Sorry I do not know the proper term it is called.
That’s the big slide format, which is one of the options when you’re editing a post or page, in a box called Post Settings or Page Settings or something. The big slide takes the latest posts from a category and automatically formats them like that.
