Trying to add “The Event Calendar” plugin to our site: http://www.businessupnorth.co.uk/events/
Appreciate that The Event Calendar is not tested with NewsMag theme, however think that the issue might be down to the way that NewsMag might be trying to handle custom posts (which I think The Event Calendar is trying to create).
See Error:
wp booster error:
td_module: td_module_15($post): $post is not WP_Post
/srv/users/xxxxxxx/apps/businessupnorth/public/wp-content/themes/Mytheme/includes/wp_booster/td_module.php
If I remove a couple of lines of code from td_module.php (the ones that generate the error message) The Calendar works.. however then the rest of the site breaks!
I’m thinking along the lines of the Archive page that the calendar is associated with td_module_15 when is should not be linked to anything
Also – individual event pages give the following error:
wp booster error:
td_module: td_module_single($post): $post is not WP_Post
/srv/users/xxxxxxxx/apps/businessupnorth/public/wp-content/themes/Mytheme/includes/wp_booster/td_module.php
http://www.businessupnorth.co.uk/event/test/
Again it’s like The Event Calendar is not recognised as a post.. and so error occurs.
Kind of thinking that the NewMag needs to altered so that it will permit / regognise custom posts – or posts that are created that are a little out of the ordinary…?
Grateful for pointers….
Running latest NewsMag / The Events Calender.
Thanks
Hello garethl,
As you know, the Event Calendar has not been tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry! Most likely, the theme core files should have to be changed in order to achieve best results with this plugin. If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide support for the implementation of untrusted plugins, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
OK thanks…
In that case can you shed some light onto to meaning of the error:
td_module: td_module_single($post): $post is not WP_Post
What check is being made to result on the “$post is not WP_Post” message?
I know others are using The Event Calendar and so I’m certain I can get to the bottom of why it’s giving an error if I understand what check is being made?
Thanks
