I need RTL support

Hi there,

Yesterday I purchased Newspaper theme and I am configuring it to work as an RTL, not just the content, but the POST editor as well. I want complete website in RTL.

But today from this forum I have learnt that the Newspaper theme is not RTL supported.

Is it true or else please let me know whether I can make it work on RTL.

If not then let me have my refund.

Thanks for your kind support.

Hi,

The theme does not support RTL direction at the moment, and customizing all the elements of the theme in this matter is a big task and may not work properly in the end. If you want to modify the theme so it may work and display without problems in this situation, you will have to make changes to multiple elements and classes.
You can request a refund here and we will approve it

Then you can look for a theme that is probably more suited for your project, and supports RTL by default.

Thanks

Thanks Simon for replying.

I will wait till you update the theme with RTL support.

I have shown the theme to the client and he says it was okay as far as posts are concerned but in future we may land in trouble.

So I am desperately waiting for you guys to come up with RTL support.

I love this theme soo much. I will wait.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

Many thanks for your appreciation of the Newspaper theme. Unfortunately at the moment there are no definite plans in this regard. I could not say when this implementation will be available in the theme.
It would be better if you would search for a theme that is more suited for this purpose, so you can get started in building the website.

Thanks

Hi there,
your theme is amazing, unfortunate for us it does not support rtl.
Anyway i am trying to get around this problem for now, the biggest problems are:
1- recent post sidebar: shows bulletins on the left side of the lines.
2- socials icons are in a mess.
3- mobile menu doesn’t scroll down and closing it results in reloading the page.
4- i can’t edit the look or the appearance of the mobile version.
*note that i’m using mobile theme plugin and my site content is mainly rtl.
my website
any help?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Unfortunately as it is stated above, the theme does not support RTL. Elements of the theme will not display as intended if modifications are made in this regard.
The classes defined in the theme and all the conditions are not optimized for RTL, and this results in broken layouts and problems like the ones you describe.
It would require a lot of work from your part in order to modify the theme to have RTL functionality. Or create custom code to override the theme style.
We cannot provide support in this matter, as it is not a feature of the theme. It would be best if you could search for a different theme that supports this by default, and no modifications necessary.
If you consider this an option, you can request a refund and we will approve it. Then you could build your website with a theme that may support RTL.

Thank you for understanding!
