On your demo site, you use an ad that links to the envato website.
When I make an ad, it links to /#
On the first ad, I putted a title and that works, but where do I enter the link for clicking on the image.

The same with an image widget

You see it on http://2imsa.be

link

It should linking to http://2de-artillerie.be/tijdschrift_Modest/Modest2014-2.pdf

How to do?

Basic HTML – use anchor links.
Lots of tutorials online for learning HTML.

e.g.,

<a href="URLforadtogo"><img src="/mygraphic.jpg" /></a>

Just create a custom ad, or simple text widget and put your HTML in there. 🙂

etc.

( I don’t work here. )

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the response.
But it is some kind of it is supposed to be foreseen in the properties tab if you see at my linked picture in the question.
The picture could be linked and opened in a new window, there stands that even a “mailto” could be used.
I was already thinking that for the Ad I could use the HTML but all themes are claiming that you can work without programming html and I think my case is a simple every day thing: put an image and link it to something, even external.
I will look up html for it and save it. But I occasionally use html so it is always searching.
Thanks a lot for the tip.
