Newspaper 8 and editor-style.css error

Hi! Every time I place a “Text with Title” Element with Tagdiv Composer and try to edit content I get the error message:
Failed to load content css: http://localhost/xxxx/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/editor-style.css
I copied the folder Newspaper-child from the theme as I always do; the editor-style.css file he’s looking for is only in Newspaper parent folder. Despite this, the Composer seems to work.
What could be the problem?
Thanks.

Hello planetcappe,

Ensure that you are using the latest theme version and also, make sure that are right installed it via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. If you are using the child theme, ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of it which come bundled with the theme core files and also, for more information about this, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks for the response. I did it many times and never had errors, at the moment I’m using the latest version of the theme, 8.0, and the child theme that comes bundled. As you know, the child theme doesn’t seem to be updated to the 8.0 version, it also has a presentation image of version 7. I’m using it locally to develop my project.
The strange thing is that it’s searching an editor-style.css file that is not present in the child folder, so I’m wondering: should it be there?

Hello planetcappe,

Notice that the child theme core is the same with the previous version. I think that was omitted to change the child theme version number in the folder. Keep in mind that the editor-style.css should not be present in your child theme. The only files which are in child theme are these -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GmRtzyFK

Thanks for your understanding!

Yes, I understand. Is it possible for you to do some test to see if I am the only one getting this error?

Hello planetcappe,

You will never get this problem if the theme will be right installed. I have made some tests on my side with a new fresh install and this problem does not exist. Please try to make a new clean install via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for the message!

Ok… at the moment, as I said, I’m developing locally, so no ftp involved… I hope all will be fine when I’ll upload all online! Thanks.
