IMPORTING POSTS

When exporting posts from a wordpress.com to my new site at WordPress.org — Not all my posts are transferring. Many posts are landing up in trash, and other have comments missing.
Any suggestions, thanks.

Sadly, the built-in import/export function in WordPress needs improvement. The complex way to do it is with DUPLICATOR, but I don’t think you can run that on WordPress.com. Likely good to put in a support ticket at WordPress.com forum on how to do this ?

Or, check the many posts online about how to do this from the past decade; here is a fairly recent one:
