I want to give my authors more visibility and use the ‘author widget’ instead of the author box below the posts.
However, in the ‘author widget’ it is required to manually fill in the ‘author ID’. Is there any way to fetch this ID for the current post?

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to do this, sorry! It is necessary to do some additional customizations through the code in order to achieve this functionality but please notice that we cannot provide custom work at the moment. You should implement it yourself or if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you!

But why do you provide an author box if it cannot be used ?
There are VC Addons which work perfect with author tables/Kategories etc.

I found out : Get the plugin “Reveal ID”. All IDs from pages, posts, users etc. are displayed in the corresponding tables.
It works with my author´s page.

There is no option to change this behavior or replace it with another element, except by modifying the theme files.
When building pages you can use the an equivalent Author box element

What can I do, if the author box does not display the author image (from user´s avatar) ?
