System Status wants changes in php.ini but my 1and1 site lacks the values

System Status shows me (new first-time user) a couple of error messages, supposedly related to php.ini or htaccess. I am a 1and1 Managed WP customer and the stated values are not in the php.ini and htaccess files that I am able to find. How do I make the requested changes? This is max_execution_time and max_input_vars I need to change.

they are often in your hosting control panel under php settings
