Maintaining Font Across Browsers

I’m wondering how to get the quality of font be maintained across browsers the way the Car Magazine template does? This template’s font looks great on both Firefox and Chrome.

I’ve used it as a template for my site but the font looks worse on Firefox than on Chrome. The only changes I’ve made are to the color scheme.

Please keep in mind that is a general/common issue which appears between these two browsers, sorry!
