Hi, after update to 8.0 two plugins stopped working:

gives error:
Error: could not find ‘video_link_checker_event’ hook, likely another plugin misuse of cron_schedules.

N8.1 upgrade didn’t fix the issue. Both plugins are working with N7 and default 2017 wp theme
Any idea what can cause the conflict?
The developers do not provide any technical support with plugins, with the exception of these:
Recommended plugins:
WordPress SEO – SEO plugin
WP Super Cache – caching plugin
Contact form 7 – used to make contact forms
WooCommerce – eCommerce solution
bbPress – forum plugin
BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus
Wp User Avatar – Change users avatars
Jetpack – plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site
Sorry but unfortunately this is the case with premium themes. It cannot be compatible withe every plugin out there. For the ones on the list mentioned by Edward above, we maintain compatibility in each theme update. That means we test the plugins in the new version and fix the compatibility problems if any are found. That is why we can keep the plugins as tested and recommended. As you can imagine, we cannot do this for every plugin.
