I have downloaded the Newspaper 8 Theme and am trying to activate the Revolution Slider, but cannot find the file according to the instructions provided. I have located two files: themeforest-5489609 13,463kb and themeforest-5489609 55,538kb. I can’t find the “revslider.zip” file under either of these. Please Help!!!
Update: I have found the file but can’t figure out how to get it to upload following the tutorial instructions. I’ve also tried drop and drag. Doesn’t work.

Simion, Thx so much for your help. I didn’t know these extra steps. I have gotten the slider and demo downloaded, but when I went to attach it to a category, I don’t see any categories in the list. I have put several categories already into the “Posts” section. I looked and they are there. Help again? I’m almost there. Thx

The categories should all be displayed in the selection screen in the slide settings

Set the category there, and the slide will display posts from that category. Be sure to save the settings after configuring it

When I followed your previous advice everything went perfect, but I get to this screen and there are no categories present. That is what I need help with. Did I not place the categories in there? I’m just lost here. Thx so much for your help so far. I’m almost done and ready to be productive.

In that section all your categories should be displayed and ready for selection. Make sure you select the proper settings in the same menu

If you have any categories and posts, they should be displayed there

Check the theme system status as well, and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if necessary

This will ensure the proper functionality of the theme and plugins. You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you if needed.
