Questions regarding colors and fonts

Hi, great theme, couple questions.

I currently am using blocks 9 and 22 on my home page. I’d like to change the color of the post title’s being pulled on the home page and also the post titles and excerpts from block 22. Additionally I need the block 22 content to be bold/match the post title so it appears exactly the same.

See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ph9h89h6mpgcml/Screen%20Shot%202017-08-08%20at%2010.35.41%20AM.png?dl=0

Additionally I’d like to turn off the “read more” on block 22. Thanks.

Hi,

To change the color of the article titles just for these blocks, you could use a code like this (enter your own preferred color)
This is for block 22
https://www.screencast.com/t/Ct1CwkIDyS

.td_block_22 .td_module_17 h3 > a {
color: yellow;
}

And for block 9
https://www.screencast.com/t/2gTVVhqK

.td_block_9 .td_module_8 h3 > a {
color: yellow;
}

The excerpts color for block 22 can be changed with a code like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/HivpudMqn

.td_block_22 .td_module_17 .td-excerpt {
color: yellow;
}

Other article title font properties such as font size, font weight etc, can be changed in the theme panel for each module
https://www.screencast.com/t/lbB9b1VDYoG
The excerpt font as well
https://www.screencast.com/t/SQpxlU3d
The Read more cannot be turned off. That is how that block is designed. You could hide it with some CSS like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/0CGiLKLR

.td_block_22 .td_module_17 .td-read-more {
display: none;
}

These codes must be entered in Theme panel->Custom CSS section. Please let me know if I misunderstood something or you have problems using the codes.

Thanks

Can you provide the default settings? Like what font is currently being used in Block 9 and its weight, size etc? That way I can properly match everything to it!

GREAT theme, seriously.

Hi,

With the browser inspector you can inspect any element on the page. For example Block 9, right click the article title and click inspect
https://www.screencast.com/t/KXcqgRTCe29
This is a guide about using the browser inspector to identify elements and classes used, in order to make custom code, or simply inspect them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Please let me know if you need further help, and thank you for your appreciation of the theme.

Thanks

For some reason I’m not having any luck changing the font colors for the title of excerpt using the sample above on BLOCK13 being used on my homepage…

I’m trying

.td_block_13 .td_module_14 h3 > a {
color: #b4413e;
}

.td_block_13 .td_module_14 .td-excerpt {
color: #b4413e;
}

.td_block_13 .td-module-title a {
color: #b4413e;
}

None of which are working?

I’ve tried adding !important but no luck either… does this method work with BLOCK13? (it seems that Block13 is non-responsive to the settings in the theme panel as well? https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/excerpt-font-size-2/ or my install is funky 🙂

Hi,

The code works, like in my test
https://www.screencast.com/t/Ve2YbwiSTU
It should work for you as well. It could a caching if theme panel settings are not applying. Try clearing all caching installed after making changes or entering codes. Clear the browser cache or force refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R).

Thanks

You are correct! I’m so sorry – flushing the cache is CSS-101 🙂 Thank you!
