That is the URL for a typical page on my site. My main issue is that the Comments are at the very end of the page and likely not to be seen. Also, as the only author, having the Author Card on every post seems like egomania and overkill.
I’d like for Comments to be right below the Post content. I’d like the Author Card to disappear.
I would also like to get the MailPoet module (or equivalent shortcode) into the sidebar of the homepage and have yet to figure out how.

If you want to hide the Author Card from each post page, notice that you can disable it from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3K1sSSeY
Unfortunately, notice that our theme does not have any MailPoet module integrated on the theme, sorry!

I had been on the setting page many times. I had searched here but got the idea the author card would not go away — so I missed the switch!
I turned off related posts and the discussion entry box still seems too low on the page. Can I move it up and keep it above related posts?
Also, yes I am stupid, but I stumbled upon how to add a sidebar widget to the posts template, but don’t see how to do the same thing for the home page template. I am very glad I am using this template.

If you want to move the comments section to be right below the post content, you should change a bit your code in order to achieve any good results. For example, if you are using the post template style 2 you should make the following changes like this ->
