Hi,
I’ve just installed NewsMag v4.0 on a new clean WordPress 4.8.1 installation and cannot save any settings on the theme panel. I just get the square spinny animation, nothing ever saves.
Only two plugins are active, and I’ve tried reinstalling the theme twice.
Just to try and pre-empt some of your responses when you hopefulyl get to this in the morning:
PHP memory is set at 256 mb;
No other plugins are running;
Issue remains in all three web browsers;
Website is running https;
WordPress install is almost as clean as they come.
Hi,
If the theme system status is according to the documentation there should not be any problems
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please check in the theme panel while saving settings, if there are any errors in the browser console. Press F12 to bring up the inspector window and then open the console
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dMlpgvBdo
Check if there are any errors in this console. The admin ajax process could be blocked by the server, because of the multiple requests that it makes. In this case you can contact the hosting provider and explain the situation or provide a screenshot with the error.
They should be able to fix it.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks
In the console, I get the following message:
‘Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()’
Relating to the file:
‘/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newsmag&v=4.0’
Surely it can’t be due to the hosting provider, because I am running on the same hosting package an older version of your Newsmag theme which works fine (I’m in the process of upgrading it). So the admin ajax process is surely already being accepted by my current hosting provider on a separate wordpress installation.
Hi,
It seems that way however. The server might be blocking this process through a firewall or security plugin. There is nothing that can be done from the theme perspective, as the server is denying the request.
Please try and contact the host, provide them with the error, and they will surely help get this solved.
Thanks
