I am using the gadgets demo from Newspaper theme and I everything works amazing. But the Ajax instant search capability for some reason is really slow. There is a real lag from just typing the search term to the search actually retrieving results without having to press enter or search. The site in question is techieavenue(.)com

Unfortunately, I have checked your website but it seems that your site is in maintenance mode, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6FQDGFwfYqQ Notice that the Ajax functionality could be affected by your untested plugins if you are using something like this. Try to disable all of them, leave just only the plugins which come bundled with the theme core files, clear all the caches and check the results.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins. Do you have tried without these? Please remove all of them, clear all the caches and check the results. I have checked your Search function and it seems to work as expected.
