We have been working with our web hosting company (GoDaddy) for almost a week because since then we were unable to upload images. The site seems to time out, and we get an HTTP Error. The keep telling us it is not a hosting issue and it is in the WordPress site, which I do not believe, but we need to try something to solve.
The front end of the site still works as it should, and in the admin side the posts seem to work okay, it is just when uploading images, and also looking at the plug-ins page is very very slow. Last night a rep at GoDaddy went in to change the INI file to increase the timeout setting, but it has still not solved the problem.
Have you seen this before, any ideas on how to solve?

It could also be a matter of permissions on the uploads folder. This is better explained here in this tutorial
