Divtag composer not working – Specifically 'Edit Content' button

Hi,

When I am composing a page using Divtag composer. I add elements and click Edit Content and the WP Editor pops up but does not load, therefore I cannot edit this.

I was told by your support team – that I it could be a ‘plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache’

I disabled all plugins and cache it using WP Super Cache – still does not work.

Then I was told to:-

‘Please increase your system status parameters: https://www.screencast.com/t/GoGp9Nplif as mentioned here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/’

I do not understand how to do this? The system-status-parameters-guide just tells me I need to increase it. But HOW?

The template should be easier for Beginners to use, not go through all this just to edit something

PLease advise

Thanks

Hi CCK,

Sorry for this but please notice that is not theme related. It’s just hosting provider related. Please contact your host and request to increase that parameter.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

@Stangerson
Please check the theme system status and check these WordPress and server parameters
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If the problem is still present, please try as a test to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear any installed caching. Then check to see if everything works properly.
Let us know if the issue is fixed after trying these suggestions.

Thanks

Hi;

I have changed WP-config, but I Have one trouble with .hthacces or php.ini, I found some .hthacces, one on the root of WordPress and one on WP content, but I don’t found any classes :php_value max_input_vars
php_value max_execution_time
php_value post_max_size
php_value upload_max_filesize

And I can’t found any php.ini on my folders 🙁

I have an screenshot for told you what is my parameters. I hope that can help you because I can’t do it alone 🙁

Hi,

The parameters seem to be set properly. The changes must be made either in the htacess file or the php.ini file.
Please try to deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins as a test. Then clear any caching installed. It could be a plugin conflict, this way you can determine if a plugin is to blame.
Check any custom code you might have entered in theme panel sections, or added to the theme files. If you use a child theme, switch to the main theme and see if this has any effect.
Also try deactivating and deleting the tagDiv composer plugin, then install it again from the theme package.
If the problem persists, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in your email.

Thanks

I got my hosting company to do what you mentioned (please see below). I have no plugins activated, cache it using WP Cache and I still have problems with editing….

Can you please sort this out ASAP.

Thank you for contacting us.

This is an update for your request in which the following configurations required to be set in the server.

wp-config.php file
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ );
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);

Php.ini
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M
upload_max_filesize = 50M
suhosin.request.max_vars = 5000
suhosin.post.max_vars = 5000

Now you tell me it’s this problem https://www.screencast.com/t/oKKjne7Z5T

How do I resolve this? an you tell me exactly what I need to do to fix the problem? I’ve the stopped anti virus. I have tried on 2 browsers Firefox and Chrome and still dont work. It’s been a week, I am no nearer doing anything with the site.

Please please find out what the problem is.

Thanks

I spoke to the hosting company. They said they cannot see the wpeditor.php file? Can you please give me specific instructions to the hosting company on what they need to check and do?

Thanks

Same problem. Please, if found the way to solve this issue confirm at this forum. I think not 1 and 2 person. Thanks

Unfortunately the issue has very different causes depending on each case in particular. Plugins were the first, then file permissions, then blocked files on the host or blocked files in the htaceess file. In some cases the theme and plugin needed to be reinstalled.

Thank you!

I am having same issue right now… I have seen a few more people post with exact same issue. All guidance from TD has proved futile.

Hello InspireORB,

Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at your setup page and also, so we can inspect your TD Composer to see why it does not work. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Thanks for the message!

Hi Catalin… problem resolved thanks to guidance from Simion.

Basically theme system status was showing that home url and site url did not match, so had to correct under wp dashboard setting > general. Basically the home url was showing as http:// and the site url was showing as https://

I amended the home url to https:// and TD composer page elements displayed on edit section.

This might be useful for others to know who maybe having a similar issue, to check theme system status under Newspaper.

Thanks anyway…

Rhys
