Lazy Loading

Hi

I have a question regarding lazy loading animation on NewsMag. What exactly this is? Is it just an animation effect or any actual lazy loading is taking place? I need to know if I should disable the animation and use an external lazy loading plugin. Just want to make the page loading faster.

Hi narinder912,

The lazy loading functionality will load the image only if you will be on there
and until then they do not load them.

I must add that the animation makes loading of images on mobile devices very slow. And I’m talking about a good few seconds here. You want the top images to load instantly, and those are the ones the visitor sees first anyway (above the fold). This is just my experience with it. 🙂

Thanks Torasko for that. I have disabled this feature for now because I am already struggling with an increase in the server response time after installing this theme. 🙂

Run your website through Google’s PageSpeed Insights for tips on how to optimize your website. Also put non-essential code at the bottom of your body, like Adsense and Analytics-code. 🙂

That should bring you a long way.
