Does anyone know how to ensure Google AMP shows our featured video? At the moment, the AMP version of our posts only shows the featured image.

We’re running Newspaper theme (obviously!) and AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin.

… and, just in case, we understand if you simply embed the video into the content – it will show up in the AMP version. But we have a lot of old posts and our customisations on Newspaper need the videos to be “Featured”.
Probably need to write a function that appends the video into footer section of the AMP template being used. Likely ask the plugin author how to pull a custom field to print as part of the footer. Then try that with a function hook.
sounds a little out of my “paygrade” but thanks v much for the reply – I’ll get in touch with the plugin author and see what we can come up with!
