max_input_vars

i have set the value of max_input_vars on the php.ini file to 5000,
but it still showes me max_input_vars 1000 in System Status bar and still
colored yellow.
please,what am i doing wrong?

Depending on your hosting platform, you may need to change this from your hosting control panel to make the change work.
