New hosting: new license or reactivation?

Hi there.

I’ve started a project, using a simple hosting provider.
Soon I’m going to switch to more powerful one: same domain name, new IP-address.
1. Would I have any problems with license [re]activation?
2. Is the license activation assigned to domain name, IP address or Purchase code?
3. How many activations of the license allowed for the same domain name?

Thanks.

P.S. Sorry for my english 🙂

Hi,

The license can be activated for one single end product, according to the Envato terms. The Envato policy allows to use a theme only on one install
https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
If you decide to change domains you can simply reset the theme registration key in the system status section
https://www.screencast.com/t/CEFH7vSP
Then activate the theme again in the new location. The theme can be used on a sub-domain for testing, but for different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed.

Thanks

Hi!

I’m not going to change the domain name. Probably I’ll change webhosting provider (move files to another server).
My website is a WordPress_multisite_with_subdomains installation:
http://www.myautosite.ru – main website,
– city1.myautosite.ru – the same website, but for another city,

– cityN.myautosite.ru – the same website, but for another city N.

*.myautosite.ru is a single end product.

Hi,

The same license can be used in this case, for the sub-domains that are part of the main website. Envato handles all the license specifications, everything is mentioned here
https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular
https://themeforest.net/licenses/faq

Thanks
