I’m getting this message when I go into appearance –> customize –> Newspaper theme –> live preview –> theme panel. Any advice?

Hello jason,

Please try to deactivate all your plugins except the ones that are provided in the theme package, clear any caching installed and check again. The issue is mostly caused by plugins. You could also take a look at this topic that describes similar WordPress problems
