Hello,
1. Im making a newswebsite. I added categories to my menu. I have a ‘Video’ categorie also (https://www.dagonline.nl/video/). I wanna show my YouTube playlist when people click on ‘Video’ from the menu. But since it’s a categorie, i cant add any HTML there. What is the best way to do so? Do it from a page and add the page to my menu?
2. Is this the right code to show my playlist? [td_block_video_youtube playlist_title=”Nieuws in beeld” playlist_yt=”gi7dVUo-nig, 4TB1EJZj7js, 4kX7pnjFjDI”]. I paste this code in a page, but nothing happend.
3. Is adding the YouTube ID in the TagDiv Composer the quickest way to update my playlist?
4. Since its a newswebsite, there will be a lot of ID’s. Are the ID’s unlimited?
Thanks!

Hello,
1) Yes the easiest way would be to add a custom link to the menu and link it to a page instead of the video category
2) Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/ On pages, please use the video playlist from the page builder, not the shortcode from posts.
3) Unfortuantly there is no other way of updating a playlist. you can only add or remove youtube ID’s
4) Technically yes, but if too many are used in the same playlist, it can become a bit slow on the loading times. Once you see slowdowns because of the many videos, you should consider replacing very old ones in the playlist.
Thank you!
Thank you.
1. Maybe i wasnt fully clear. I already made a playlist block on my homepage. Look here please: https://www.dagonline.nl. I update this playlists everyday and i want the playlist be accesible through the main menu (video) also. So when people click on ‘Video’ in the main menu, the same playlist appears as the one i created already on the homepage. Otherwise i have to update two playlists every time, that dont make any sense.
Is this possible? What is the best way to do this?

Hi,
The Video menu item is a category, it will link to the category page when clicked. That is expected behavior when categories are clicked. These category pages cannot be edited at the moment, all the settings are made through the theme panel.
If the Video was not a category, but a page it can link to that, and whatever content is placed in it.
But if you have two playlists on separate pages or even on the same page, these have to be maintained separately, they will not synchronize the videos.
You could do it another way, by embedding the same playlist in the pages, by a text element

The same playlist will be displayed where you use it, while you can update it on YouTube once.

Hey Simion,
Thank you.
What you are saying is not an option for me, since i dont own the content myself, so i cant upload it to YouTube. I just create a news playlists from already existing content from other channels. See?
So if i add a page to the menu (instead of a categorie), its still not possible for me to share and sync the same playlist from the homepage?
Hi,
You can still create playlists with the videos you want, on YouTube. The difference is that you are not creating it on the website by adding video IDs, but on YouTube adding them to your playlists. Then embed that playlist in multiple locations, so you do not have to add videos manually in all of them. That should work.
If this is not a solution, then unfortunately there is no other way. The playlists placed on pages will not synchronize, each modification will have to be made to each of them.
Thanks
Clear. Thanks. To bad, since Newspaper is a Newswebsite theme and videonews is becoming more and more poplular on newswebsites. Hope to see it in the near future, so people can visit the same video newssection from the mainmenu!
