Importing post read count on current theme post count

Hi
We are using older news theme from different provider and which was running since 4-5 years and we have create our own system on single post read count (custom plugin).
Now, we are migrating to Newspaper theme which has inbuilt post count feature, So to avoid extra use of plugin we want to import all the count of older post to new theme.
FYI each post count was added according to the post-id
So do you have any suggestion how to do that

What we did was simply go into the theme includes folder; find the ‘count’ file, change the custom field at top from the default to your existing field name. Then the built-in system will increment THAT field and print the count on pages. Sorry I don’t remember the exact name and path, but pretty obvious when you look for it. 🙂
