How can I get the files or code that fixes this vunlerability? Our website has been compromised twice in the 2 months. Our Newspaper theme is 8/6/2014 and has customizations. I would prefer to just update the .php files that resolve the problem vs. updating the entire theme.

Notice that the only way is to update the theme via FTP way because this is the surest theme method. Keep in mind that all the time, the latest version of the theme has all the improvements made. Before each theme update, you have to make a full backup to avoid losing your data.

Actually you did not answer my question. What I would like is the Newspaper .php files or code that fixes the Short St exploit.
Is there any way I can retrieve file(s) required via file share, or be sent it via email, or have someone from TagDiv upload the code to our web server?

I’m sorry to inform you that does not exist any such an option that allows you to only update the theme’s files changed until now, sorry! Seems that your theme’s version is too old and the only way, in this case, is to update the theme to that latest version of it.
