I need to transfer my Newspaper license to my client. How do I go about doing that? All the info I found searching the database seemed vague and I got confused.
My situation:
I bought the license through envato.
The license has only ever been on this one website.
The license is linked to this tagdiv forum account (and is the only license on this account).
I need that website to keep functioning and them to be able to get updates, etc.
- So, there’s maybe some sort of transfer process through envato? (All the FAQ you link to in replies says to give them the theme and “link them to the license,” but I’m not sure what that means.
- Do I do anything to unlink the envato purchase from this tagdiv forum account?
- Or should I just change the email address on this tagdiv account to theirs?
- Is there anything else I need to figure out regarding the transfer? Maybe change some other piece of information somewhere or change something on the backend of the website in the settings?

Please note that Envato handles all the license details and rules. According to their terms the license is transferable

I believe it is a matter of passing the account information to the client, as well as item purchase code and theme forum account login details. If you should need more details about the transfer procedure concerning the Envato account, maybe you should contact them directly and have them explain the actions needed.
