Replace Search Box in Header Menu with Custom google Search

Maybe you made a mistake in your modifications, that is why the search is causing errors like that. You could revert the changes and return the search functionality, then test on a local environment and modify the default search. I have inspected the issue, it seems that the click entered in the search input field is detected as being outside of the area. Just like clicking anywhere on the page. The result is that the search will disappear. There are javascript errors each time the search is clicked

You could try different plugins, the current one seems to cause errors. I cannot say what needs to be done in this case. The core of the search is based on WordPress, the theme ads design and that is conflicting with the plugin you are using.
