Does the simple link which I put into the right featured video field + make it a video format post count as an embed on youtube? Would be interesting for SEO Thank you

Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what did you mean, sorry? The featured video from YouTube, after it was added in the Featured video field with the Post format as Video will appear in that way at the source code of your page, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/CzjhbZXk7 If is not what you mean, provide more details.
