Theme Won't Work

I bought Newspaper and it’s driving me up a wall. The activation will not work. I enter my Envato code and push activate and the page doesn’t do anything. Nothing loads at all. I go to the manual activation and get My tagdiv activation code and that doesn’t work. Same thing. The page doesn’t load. Every part of the theme panel doesn’t work. You click something and it reloads the page with a hashtag added to the end of the URL. You can’t change any settings at all. I try to install demo content and that reloads the page with a hashtag. Nothing about this theme is functional at all! This is a new wordpress installation, on a new database,with no activated plugins. I can’t imagine this is normal in any way. How does this get fixed?

Nevermind. I don’t know what was wrong but I deleted the theme from the themes folder and my PC. I then re-downloaded a completely fresh copy of the theme from Envato and loaded that up via FTP. Now it seems everything works. It even activated as it should. Maybe Envato just served me a corrupted download.

Facing the same issue on WordPress 4.8.3 version. Theme Panel is unusable. However, I did exactly what PatriotZero did. Also removed all plugins. Now it is working fine. I had Sucuri and WP Fast Cache along with the usual Jetpack and Akismet. Not sure what’s wrong.

Nope. The Theme Panel is still unusable. Selecting any option just gives square-pixel progress gif but nothing happens. The drop down from top left corner shows Theme Panel in red colour – indicative that something is wrong with Theme Panel 8.1.2 running on WordPress 4.8.3 without any plugins.

Managed to solved this issue after a fresh install of WP on VPS and then activating the NP theme.
