Hello,
I installed the Mobile Theme zip today and as soon it was activated “500 Internal Server Error” appeared on mobile. I followed all the tagdiv-forum instructions but could not get it fixed. In the end I chatted with my host wordpress.com and they figured out this:
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/wpcom-129080905/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile../td_deploy_mode.php’ (include_path=’/:.’) in /wpcom-129080905/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile/functions.php on line 11
What does it mean?
Regards
Hello drschulz,
Please try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way or create another sub-domain for testing, clear all the caches and check the results. If you want to achieve good results, make sure that your theme is the latest version of it, downloaded from Theme Forest.
Thanks for the message!
Hello nexionly,
Do you have updated all the plugins and use only of them which come bundled with the theme core files? Make sure that you have full update your theme via FTP way in order to achieve good results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hey,
I’ve just installed the Mobile Theme and am running into this current issue of a 500 error on mobile only. I’ve deactivated all plugins that I can. Others I cannot because it is either managed by WordPress or I’m afraid deactivating the other plugins for fear of losing all data associated. Newspaper theme is currently updated via Envato Market plugin and sitting at version 8.5.1. Cache was cleared, then those caching plugins deactivated. Deleted and reinstalled mobile-theme plugin. Same 500 error and what’s weird is that it’s only occasional.
I also cannot update via FTP as we have WordPress hosting and they do not allow back-end access.
Anything else I can try?
Thanks for your time,
-TW

Hi,
Is there a solutino to this problem? I suffer the same issues.
I’m on WordPress.com with the latest Newspaper theme.
Other than the WordPress.com plugins, I have just the tagDiv plugins and “Wordth the Read” plugin, but this issue had been there before I installed this plugin.
Any advice?
Thanks
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
It could also be a file permission issue: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/wordpress-user-roles-and-permissions/
Also please make sure you increase your memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
