On our home page we have latest articles + pagination etc. Would like to have the articles display the same as the article page, with the social shares, comments etc. Also want to add the top article ad position so an advertisement shows at the top of each article. This works on the article page but not on latest articles.

Unfortunately the theme does not feature the implementation you need. Pages do not have sharing buttons or ad spots inside the post loop. The latest articles area post loop and cannot get the implementation from the post onto the page. You will need customization services in order to make this implementation but unfortunately we cannot help as it is not covered by the theme support.
