Build site under one domain and then move to final domain home

Hi!
I have a website up and running since 2001 and I’m giving it a facelift. I bought Newspaper 8 and was thinking about building the new site on a different domain name I’ve had forever, and it hasn’t been public, while I keep the old site up and running. Then, once I complete the new site, replace/move the new build into the old site website.

Since ultimately in the end, I’ll only have Newspaper 8 under one domain, and the license is for one domain, is my approach doable?

Hi,

This will not be a problem. The Envato license terms specifies that the theme can be used on a final end product (website)
– https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular
Install the theme on the old domain and activate it. When it is ready make it live or switch domains. There is a theme reset option for the activation, in the system status
