Pinterest widget settings

Hi there,

I have my TagDiv Pinterest widget enabled and set up as an element on my dev page. The widget seems to pull images and pins properly, but when I click on one of my pins displayed in that widget, it doesn’t directly take me to that pin. Instead, clicking on any pin takes me to a Pinterest page displaying that pin, then similar pins. With the TagDiv Pinterest widget, the pin appears as the first of many similar pins and is not featured in any way. This is not the behavior I would like to happen with the widget.

A good example of directly linking to the pins is present in the official Pinterest widget. If you try clicking on any pin in the widget builder template, you’ll be instantly linked to that pin. It appears as a featured pin, with other similar pins to the right of the featured pin.

Can you provide a solution for the widget behavior, so I can get click-throughs to the specific pin itself?

Thanks!

Hi,

Maybe I am misunderstanding this, I have set a Pinterest element on a page and configured it
https://www.screencast.com/t/qRCwZ4iUHMj
Clicking it will direct to the pin page looking like this

Similar to the result on the official widget guide

I believe that is how it should behave, please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

Hi there,

You understand exactly what I mean! I’m looking to achieve the same result as you showed in your reply- an individual pin just like the official widget. Unfortunately, this is what shows up when I click on any individual pin from the TagDiv widget:

The pin I want to have show up individually is the first in the list of pins you see there- it doesn’t show up on its own individually and is not “featured”. Odd, right?

What settings, if any, can I tweak to get the pin to show up as a featured pin, just like in your screencasts above? Perhaps I’m not enabling something in the Pinterest widget settings…

Thanks!

Hi,

The widget needs only a Pinterest ID and board name entered

That board will be displayed as it is in the Pinterest page. The other settings that the widget has are for design, not functionality. So there should not be any problem.
Please provide a link to your website where the widget is located, so we can take a look.

Thanks
