I’m working on a client’s website and added some custom css into the theme panel. Along with a table on the front page we have html in a sidebar widget to display it on pages. Since adding these elements everything was working fine and now the footer is being thrown into the sidebar on posts but not pages. We’ve removed all the custom code in theme panel and it still throws the footer into the sidebar area. We found a we thought when we aligned the play buttons from right to default but then coming back again after awhile its doing the footer sidebar error. We haven’t installed any new plugins since this started so we can rule that out. We’ve also disabled the footer and it still shows parts of the footer so we are perplexed. If you removed the code there should be no problem, I see the footer is still displayed in the sidebar. Try clearing any caching installed. Check widgets added in the footer section or sidebars, check for code entered in raw HTML or text elements. Remove them temporarily if possible (clear caching again).
If you made modifications to the theme files, try removing them.
