Hi,
I wish to remove the search icon in my main menu and place the search function in the sidebar instead.
Reason being is that I wish to add another item to the main menu and when the sticky header function kicks in it is over 2 lines and looks messy so need to remove something to make the sticky menu fit on one line.
The issue I have however is that the search function in the main menu allows for live/suggested search posts/pages:

However when in the sidebar there seems to be no live search function:

How can I have the live search function in the search sidebar widget?
Thanks

I’ve removed the search widget from the sidebar for now.
Also, how can I leave the search icon on mobile view but not for desktop/tablet?
Obviously the main menu sticky header has no effect for mobile as the menu items are behind the menu icon.
Hello WakeUpCallProject,
Unfortunately, please notice that the Live search function will work only when the Icon Search will be tapped. If you will add the search function to your Sidebar notice that you will bring only the normal search results because the Live search was custom made. Also, notice that sticky header is working fine for mobile devices as you can see here

Thanks for your understanding!
Is there a way to release in a future theme update for the live search to work in the sidebar widget?
I’m about to add some things to the menu and even with reduced font it won’t fit due to the search icon in the main menu.
Also looks nicer having the search bar in the widget. However live search is such a great feature.
Hello WakeUpCallProject,
Notice that you can use the search in sidebar if you will use the default search bar from WordPress, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lvQ7SG99
Thanks.
Yes, however is not live search.
If that search widget had the live Ajax search it would be perfect!
Hence requesting if possible to put in future release.
Would be very useful.
