If you want just the header and footer in black , then you do not need to use the black demo. The default demo also provides this layout. You can change the header and footer colors from the theme panel colors section. https://www.screencast.com/t/nLiyjv32lAdt

Please provide your website URL so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. Make sure that your theme has been installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. If the problem is still there, I suggest you make a new clean install and import the demo again. Your screenshot is not useful, sorry! Please check the Theme Colors option from Theme panel and check if the Accent Color is set up with an adequate color, like this ->
