I recently update the theme and I have some issues with multi-purpose plugin, I can’t see the new shortcodes and have an error in the theme panel, under plugin’s setting when I click on multi-purpose I only can see:
BUTTONS STYLE
wp booster error:
td_api_base:mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: tds_api is not set.
/my_route_host/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
….
and another similar error saying:
missing parameter: ‘file’
…../td_autoload_classes.php
I have an error in console saying:
Uncaught TypeError: jQuery (…).sortable is not a function…
and so on…

Please disable your multi-purpose plugin and delete it. Then install it again from the theme plugins section and clear all cache and reset cdn files. If you use a child theme please switch to your main theme.

Nothing works, it only works when I deactivate the child theme and swith to the main theme… Can’t I use my child theme? and what happens with all my customizations in my child theme?

Please try again to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files, clear all the caches and check the results. I have made some tested on my website and it seems that everything works as expected. Purge all CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare system and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Facing the same problem using the child theme after updating to v8.6 and I’ve tried all these tricks but it does not help. Can the newspaper team recommend a fix? Using the parent theme is not an option for me.

I fixed the problem… you just need to rename your child’s theme folder to “Newspaper-child” and thats all… it will run again with your child theme…. (don’t know why, but it works for me)
