Limit Related Articles

We would like to limit related articles to be no more than 3 months old. We have tried altering td_block_related_posts.php with no luck. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

The section will display related posts sorted by latest, I couldn’t say if a time limit would be possible. None of the theme elements have such sorting options at the moment.

Hey Simion – We’re having an issue with very old and outdated posts being shown as related. We were hoping to add some custom coding to td_block_related_posts.php that would help restrict related posts by age… but aren’t having any luck. Was hoping someone could suggest a string of code that might achieve this. Thanks!

Hi,

As long as they are related, meaning at least one category or tag in common, they will be shown at some point. Latest related posts first continuing to oldest as you scroll.
I could’t say how you could set a post age limit for this functionality. Sorry of this is an inconvenience for you.
