Hi, we use Newsmag 2.3.6 and we would like to upgrade to the version 4.2. We tried earlier with the 3.x versions, but we only hat problems with them, so we went back to 2.3.6. When we try version 4.2, everything looks fine, no style problems, etc., but all the links (articles, thumbnails, etc.) are not clickable – they’re inactive somehow. Even with new plugin versions, new WordPress, etc. The theme is activated. We tried to look it up here on the forum, but we didn’t find anything similar to this problem. What may we do to resolve this problem? There are no errors in the logs regarding anything like this. Do you have an idea?

Unfortunately, please keep in mind that the Newsmag 2.3.6 is too deprecated theme’s version, sorry! First of all, you should make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all the data and then, update the theme to the latest version of the theme to another subdomain for testing and check the theme functionality. Should work as expected. If you want to achieve best theme result you should keep up the steps with the latest version of the theme because the theme is a continuous development and we release more features and updates to our product.

Yes, I know. But what could cause these problems? Am I the first one with a problem like this one? I’ll try to duplicate the web to a new domain, and clean some old entries, etc. Then I’ll see if it works or not. I was hoping for some tips. You sure had a lot of similar issues in the past with these upgrades.

Please notice that until now, we do not have any bad reports in this case, sorry! Update your theme and also, update the WordPress and check the results.
