Max Mega Menu with subcategories

Hi,
I’m breaking my head around why I can’t get a nice mega menu with subcategories following the instructions in the documentation. What could be wrong? I’d like to have the thumbs change category on rollover of the subcategory menu. It’s not creating the html and not picking up the themes CSS. I’ve installed the demo content on a local server, to see if I could figure out how it was done, but it didn’t work either, the demo content didn’t have the configuration included.
Can you help please?

It is supposed to adapt automatically to the themes design if there are subcategories or if it is a Top Menu Category with Mega Menu enabled, but it’s not what I’m getting
Mega Menu doesn’t work on a top menu category either. It did before and all the config stuff seems the same.

There must be some key configuration that I’m missing. Plugin is Max Mega Menu.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. Even as I had subcategories set in Menus I hadn’t created them in the categories (Posts>Categories). I was also setting submenus as mega menus.

Now I have them working, but I’m still getting the categories names at the bottom of the mega menu. Do you know what this might be and how I can fix it?

Hi Catlin,

I was wondering about such a thing. I had another theme installed before, and it must be from the previous installation. Now I understand the strange behavior. I’ve deactivated the plugin and it works. But I still get the subcategories repeated bellow the standard design.
Why is this happening?
