Hi. I’ve just puchased the newspaper theme and editing it to get the look and feel that i want.
I’m currently experiencing a problem with the footer area .
I am looking to use either style 4 or 14 which is a very minimalist look. It’s got some social icons. my logo and some text from the “info content” area.
The problem i have is that it doesnt seem to work. If i choose one of the above, and save it, the footer area doesnt appear like this at all. It’s got popular posts, popular categories, recent posts, recent comments, categories, archive button drop down box.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to why / where its picking up these other elements.
I’m pretty new to this kind of thing, so it might be blidingly obvious to someone, but not me.

Some of the footer templates come with inbuilt styles (which some cannot be edited unless you tinker with the theme code). Some others you just have to go to Appearance>Widgets and replace the widgets. I use Footer style three on my site. But I guess the footer styles that appear with some whitespace in them (like 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 etc.) can be edited through Appearance>Widgets once you select any of the footer styles in the Theme Panel. (I don’t work here)
