I’ve had a few reports of ads on the front page our site and I really don’t want them! I haven’t managed to reproduce and it does seem to be pretty infrequent.
I’ve checked to see if the page was hacked but it looks OK. I don’t have an Adsense account configured at all. Is there anything needed to completely disable ads? Nothing is configured in the ad settings, all default.
I do have free Disqus on the site, but only on posts (and the occasional ad does appear between comments). This wouldn’t affect pages (without Disqus on) though would it?

If all the theme panel ad sections are empty, then there should be no ads displayed. The theme does not display any ads, unless manually adding ad codes.

I have paid Disqus now and disabled ads (which I was seeing between comments). It’s just that someone claimed to see them on our home page, which doesn’t have comments, just a static page. I’ll wait and see if there are any more reports.
