The top social sharing buttons are hidden in Firefox by default and you must click a “+” symbol for them to appear.
Once you click the “+” symbol, the sharing icons appear and then you also have a “-” icon…clicking the “-” icon causes the just minus icon to disappear but not re-hide the icons themselves that were just revealed by clicking the + icon.
I do not want the icon to be able to be hidden in any capacity, I want them “open” and visbile without the ability to hide them.
This behavior does not happen in Chrome only in Firefox (tested on three machines.)
In Mobile Chrome & Safari the issue persists but has a different behavior
The facebook icon appears along with a + symbol. Clicking the + symbol then shows all the icons
and then clicking the – symbol makes only the – symbol dissapear but does not hide the icons.
I have tried changing the icon style to every setting in the theme panel yet the behavior continues.
I have no caching plugin enabled.
This behavior started after upgrade to 8.6

Sorry but we cannot recreate this issue on our end. Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I only have a the few plugins that either come with wordpess, the template package, or from jetpack.
as I mentioned there is no active cache on this site, and no cdn.
was working fine until the update to 8.6
Was causes the + sign to appear? under normal circumstances?
It has to be coming from the template in some way as none of the basic plugins have the functionality to hide or show social media button with a + or – sign.
note: disabled all plugins, issue remains.

In all our testing there have not been any problems with this functionality, if you could post a link to your website we will inspect this issue and investigate further.
