how to display popular records in the sidebar
Go to Appearance>Customise>Widgets and select block 7. Then filter the posts by either popular (all time) or popular (last 7 days). Limit the number of posts to what you want and then publish the changes.
How do you then filter out posts after setting it to this?
I have entered (-4479, -3893, -5860, -7038, -3953,) in the “Post ID filter:” section to remove the top 4 posts on my site from the popular widget (on the jetpack setting). However the top four posts still appear in the widget.
How can I run the popular posts widget but filter our certain posts?
As the method above is not working.

I’m using this widget to display the most popular recent posts.
However wish those 5 articles (post ids) not to display.
If I take off jetpack under “Sort order:” how will it sort by most popular article?
If you use the Jetpack sorting, note that no other settings in the filter tab will work. So the IDs you entered there will have no effect. The Jetpack plugin will handle the sorting when that setting is selected, not the theme
