Tag-div composer – lack of elements?

I’m considering to move away from WPBakery (as it seems like it will be discontinued by the developers) and looking for another page-builder.

Playing around with the Tag div composer – but is it right that it only has a few blocks as elements – and that is it?

I’ve used several WPBakery elements like FAQs, buttons, call to action buttons, icon, seperator, tabs, etc.

There is really nothing like this in your page builder as I understand it? So it will be a lot of work – and I’ll need several additional plugins – to replicate the page without WpBakery.

And I read in another thread that other page builders (like Beaver) don’t work with Newspaper? What is the point of that? If you’re going to force everyone to use your page builder – should you not put more effort into making it competitive?

I hope I’m missing something – and your page builder has some opportunities I’ve not seen.

Kind regards
Lars

Hello,

Lars, please also activate the multi-purpose plugin found in the theme plugins section for extra composer elements: https://www.screencast.com/t/2MwxXFse7

Our theme will not work with any other page builder unfortunately.

Thank you!

Thanks Bogdan.

That is a better list of elements.

However – I could not see them as it is impossible to scroll to see the elements. See printscreen here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7l9sz5w4wi9jwtw/without-zoom-not-possible-to-scroll.jpg?dl=0

If I zoom in 50 percent it is possible to see the elements: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uer98ieawv4hv1m/zoom-50-percen.jpg?dl=0

This is in chrome. And it will be really annoying to work with everything zoomed in 50 percent. Is there a list of the elements online somewhere? So I can use the search function to find them. Or do you know how to fix this?

Another question: Can you recommend a FAQ plugin that will work with your theme? I did not see a FAQ among the elements.

Kind regards
Lars

Hello Lars,

We have encountered this issue before with our users but could not find the answer to this issue. Please help us understand what device you are using that does not have a scrolling possibility. A mouse has a mouse wheel, a touchscreen device can scroll with gestures, a laptop/notebook has a touch-pad. What type of device do you use that cannot scroll? If you help us understand this, we will implement a fix for the specific device but we cannot think of any situation where you do not have scrolling possibilities. We did not add a scrollbar to the tagDiv composer but if there are indeed devices out there that cannot scroll, we will implement a scrollbar if needed.

Thank you!

Hello Bodan,

I’m using a laptop with a touch-pad.

Would be great if you found a solution for this.

But in the meantime do you have a list of the available elements somewhere? Then I can find them by using the search field you have there.

Kind regards
Lars Hellestrae

Hello larshell,

Please keep in mind that each laptop should have the scroll feature. You should search online for your laptop model and install the driver for your touch-pad. What’s the model of your laptop? Our big list of elements can be found here -> https://pastebin.com/EG53uBqP

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Catalin,

Yes – it got a scroll feature – and I don’t have an issue with scrolling elsewhere. The problem here is that the “scroll” is not visible without zooming. See printscreens I sent previously.

My laptops is under a year old ASus K501u.

Just also noticed that the TagComposer only appears on pages – not posts.

Is it a setting I am missing or does it only work on pages?

Kind regards
Lars

And one more thing: When you say that newspaper does not work with other page-builders: Obviously this does not include WpBakery?

So why does Newspaper work with WpBakery but not other page builders?

Kind regards
Lars

Hello Larshell,

Please notice that Newspaper works with Visual Composer and TD Composer as page builder. Keep in mind that itțs impossible to make a theme to work with anything page builder, sorry! In the future, if you want to achieve best theme results, you should use our page builder.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,

I understand but does your page builder only work for pages (not posts).

Then I will need to use another page builder.

Will it continue to work with Visual Composer in the future?

Hello Larshell,

You are free to tue the Visual Composer for the post if you will enable it for that section from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/d6U7a7MpBhI but please notice that functionality has not been tested with our theme and might appears some problems, sorry! At the moment, our page builder has been designed to be used only for the page, sorry!

Thanks for the message!
